Leah Williamson shouldn't just walk into the side, and she isn't the captain, Millie Bright is.

This is the issue, picking players on name value, rather than form.....

That is why we didn't win the World Cup.

If we had played Zelem instead of the drastically unfit, and drastically out of form Walsh, we most likely would have performed a heck of a lot better.

You only have to see how we performed when Zelem played and Walsh didn't in the World Cup to see that in action.

Away from that......one huge issue coming up is that soooo many of this squad are not Champions League level players, they are not going to be playing in the Champions League this season, or maybe anytime soon.

How often will Hampton play at Chelsea, where they have about 5 first team goalkeepers...????

Roebuck, Greenwood, Stokes, Morgan, Nobbs, Coombs, Robinson, Daly, Hemp, Kelly, & England, that is 12 players who are not going to be testing themselves against the very best, that can't be good for their respective development as players.....

Surely if they had any sense or any ambition, then they would all put in transfer requests, so that they can be playing in the Champions League......

Look at Spain, look at how many of their squad are going to be playing in the Champions League, and then compare it to ours......

That will come back to bite us, it really will.....

To many of our players are in their respective comfort zones, happy to not push themselves, happy where they are, happy to not be playing in the Champions League, which is a disgraceful attitude to have.

Players should be pushing themselves, why Hemp and Kelly are happy stagnating at Man City is beyond me.

They are wasting their respective careers by not playing for a team that has any likelihood of playing of in the Champions League any time soon (who are they going to overtake to do so.....Chelsea???!! Arsenal??!! Or Man United??!! Pull the other one!).

That will of course have an impact internationally, as we need our players to be testing themselves at the highest level (Champions League) every season, look at how well that has impacted Spain.

Only Champions League players should be picked for England, as those are the players who are pushing themselves, testing themselves on a regular basis, those happy playing for non Champions League sides, those happy in their comfort zones, should not be picked for England, and rewarded fir their cowardice.

Style of football still a concern. Dull.

Lauren James is a wildcard and needs to be given the ball at every opportunity in the final third, but the brutal truth is we rarely built any sustained pressure against Spain.

Where is our Bonmati? Stanway is a workhorse - but doesnt have speed or guile in the centre of the pitch.

Walsh looked out of sorts.

Draw dependent but can see Spain following their men in winning a WC and Euros, and doing it comfortably.
