England got the defence of their Arnold Clark Cup trophy off to a comfortable start with a 4-0 win against Korea Republic.
Lauren James shone with a goal and the player of the match award, while Georgia Stanway, Chloe Kelly and Alessia Russo were also on the scoresheet.
Laura Coombs made her return to an England shirt after eight years as Korea Republic, who are currently in pre-season, struggled to live with the Lionesses’ intensity.
What were your thoughts on the game and performance of the team and individual players?
The game was to be expected, the same really for all of these games, the opponents are just there for us to up or GD, as we are vastly better than all of them, there are no real testing games, of games where we are going into them with an air of trepidation....
We should be winning all of them, and all of them with a clean sheet.
This isn't like playing Germany, or the USA.
As for the game, itself, whoever thought playing back to back games on a League 1 ground was a good idea, well frankly they deseve the sack, as the pitch was terrible.
This hampered how we passed the ball dramatically, as the ball bounced all over the place.
No idea why Carter was starting ahead of Le Tiss, nor why Carter or Charles were even in the squad ahead of far more deserving players like Millie Turner and Hannah Blundell, Emma Hayes must be really good at playing politics to get them in the squad/team...
The game to no one's great surprise, livened up when Zelem, a World Class midfielder was introduced, why she doesn't start more games, when she is having a fantastic season, I don't know, she is better than Stanway.
The centre of midfield should be Walsh/Zelem/Tooney, no idea how it isn't....
These fixtures are just easy games, the big next game is the Finalissima, only then will we be able to judge where we are at, these games will not tell us anything, as the sides are just of a very poor standard, I mean Italy are not even at the World Cup, so what is the point in playing them??
We should be playing sides that might put up some form or degree of a challenge, I can't see any of these sides doing that.
