England retained the Arnold Clark Cup with a chaotic 6-1 win against Belgium as the Lionesses once again put a team to the sword with another dominant performance at Bristol City’s Ashton Gate.
Chloe Kelly and captain Leah Williamson both scored twice while there was a goal for Lucy Bronze and an own goal from Julie Biesmans, with a late strike from Elena Dhont for the visitors.
What did you think of the game and the tournament as a whole for the Lionesses?
I don't know. I am not convinced with the defence of England. Any decent team with pace in transition will easily pick England apart , especially the right hand side. Also noone really tried it but quick switch diagonal ball will also hurt England. Need to work on that. Also England are very susceptible to attackers who are physical. Walsh, Williamson or Greenwood really struggle with physicality. The only clear advantage England has is its vast array of weapons in attack. What do you think?
Bit of a pointless tournament really considering the opposition.
It was always about the GD.
The Finalissima & the Australia friendly will provide vastly tougher games.
